Shocking Ugandan Policy on Gay Law & Child Rape

It came to my knowledge and Im assuming almost everyone else's, when Uganda recently imposed an Anti-Gay Law, called "Kill the Gays Bill" which states that homosexual marriage and sex is prohibited in the country. The bill was signed into law by the President of Uganda on 24 February 2014.

I was shocked and mostly disturbed by the response to this bill when some people in South Africa took to Twitter & Facebook to comment about this bill. Many homophobes were celebrating the fact that Ugandan Men & Women are being severely punished for their sexualities.

Does this not spark any thought for question? Does this not contradict religion, namely Christianity? Does this not go against principles of humanity?

Well clearly not because on Monday 3rd of March a Ugandan Reverend and State Minister , Simon Lokodo, launched a "festival" - The Inaugural Child Rape Festival - which is based on the rape of innocent females which will also see girls as young and helpless as two months old being raped.

This decision has been welcomed by the Parliament as it supposedly upholds Ugandan Christian principles: being opposed to two consenting adults engaging in homosexual sex.

^{Now in the bible chapter Leviticus such an act is condoned: Leviticus 20:13} “If a man practices homosexuality, having sex with another man as with a woman, both men have committed a detestable act. They must both be put to death, for they are guilty of a capital offense."

My question(s) is: can we truly blame Uganda and the rest of society that is, for being homophobes and to be able to display such inhumane levels of hatred on other people? I mean if the bible justifies it then surely they, being Christians and probably OTHER religious groups, promote this as them "living accordingly" to the bible. Can, at this point, religion not be put to blame for even a REVEREND to justify the creation of such an event on purely it being the "natural way"? To pass it on as "Tradition" in raping women in Uganda? to possibly be able to publicly say "raping women is a natural way of ridding the demons out of the girls to ensure non of them will become lesbians" ?

How far will WE as a people continue backing our sadistic and barbaric ways on religion and tradition when what they only do is to tear a nation apart and strips naked the dignity of being a woman, and a MAN for that matter, at a young age?

Honestly, I think religion has been brainwashing humanity because it has been going on for so long. its evidence of all the million other people that spit disgust upon a homosexual and praise unto the murderers of "God's Children" .

The UN needs to intervene as in YESTERDAY, and rid Uganda of all this stupidity.
