Long Live Nelson Mandela

Today marked the last of his 3 day public body viewing that the country has held for the Great statesmen, uTata Nelson Mandela, in the past week.

Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela, uYem Yem -an Inspiration to all. My icon, I do not polish you with flawless acts, you were only human and yet your Achievements and Accolades speak above all your imperfections.

I'm eternally grateful for your struggle towards the fight for liberation. Chamagu, ulale ngo xolo!!

#Black

My tsalur(friend) Kagiso Moya and I recently posted pictures on Facebook wearing black lipstick.
I find the colour extremely sexy in its somewhat dull and depressing appearance, it's quite mysterious.

Street Style: Bos

Street style has evolved in the past few decades into different interpretations of what I like to call "Style Etiquette" . Sure, we still have the 80's early 90's Parachute pants, Denim Dungaree's and big a$$ trench-coats but all of that has evolved into modern day fashion, and these pictures below are evidence of that statement.

Ferndale High School Matric Dance 2013

Below are just a few of the many Pics I saw of Matric Dance.

I must say, the chaps and chapettes looked absolutely amazing on the night of the 20th of September 2013. I won't be nasty and scrutinize from head to toe even though some of you might see it necessary (haha) but I really loved what people wore.

They defined the words comfortable , well-suited and etiquette in many aspects of their outfits: Hair, suits and dresses, accessories.

I'm Impressed :)

Have a Look

That Sweet, Brief Moment..

Based on a True Story..

When I think about how long ago it was, It still feels like it all happened in a rushed weekend and everything was perfect and almost surreal. I'm talking about my first love, or at least I thought he was until he broke the news to me that he had to move to Botswana because of work.

Koketso he was named, a tall, dark-skinned beauty, very intelligent with the most gentle and caring heart any man could possible have. He was my hero as cheesy as it may sound, but honestly he arrived in my life at a time where everything was just blank. My relationship with my family was nonexistent and well my friends, were just a memory of the past.

When I met him 3 years ago on this very same day, a Saturday 10th of December, I did not think much of the conversation we were having after he tried selling to me a nail filer. Heck, the first thing I thought was, why I was even entertaining this guy, who to me didn't reek much of success. I mean he was trying to sell to me a NAIL FILER for heaven's sake.

But I obviously gave him the benefit of the doubt and lend him an ear and he was pretty good with his words. We started dating a week later and things became serious a few months down the line.

Photo of the Week

My Personal Favourite that really caught my attention had to be Andile Ndebele's picture.
The editing and the location the photo was captured at is really amazing and they blend well with each other. The picture isn't busy yet it gives one so many emotions; perfection!

We Dont Care: 15 Songs about not giving a damn

I found this on the internet a few days ago: A compiled list of 15 songs that are about not caring and not giving a damn about anything BUT having fun!! :D

Unbroken Spirit: A Failed Citizen.

An episode I watched of Cutting Edge last night revealed the sad and most heartbreaking story I've heard in months. In the hilly and colourful village of Ezixhotyeni, Eastern Cape, survives a strong but frail 74 year old woman uNogaya. Just like her neighbours uNogaya doesn’t have much. There are not enough resource centers to take care of the aged and the sick.

The Consequences of 'Twanging'

"The person who’s responsible for spreading linguistic lies to people by telling them that twanging is perfect when it comes to communicating with fellow humans should be beaten with a toothbrush.

Now, the majority of civilization walks around twanging every time they speak because they assume that it makes them seem as if they have perfected the suburban English accent. I guess this is because majority of people grew up with this erroneous perception that the better your English accent sounds, the more intelligent and educated you seem.

This delusional perception has created a huge strive to get the perfect English accent, which has resulted in some people turning to the disaster that is twanging.

Miley Cyrus: Good Girl Gone Bad?

Her most recent 'outbreak' was at the MT.V VMA's this past Sunday held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn where Miley Cyrus left an unpleasant taste in many viewers mouths and the audience, after her "explicit" performance featuring the 'Blurred Lines' singer, Robin Thicke.

Miley has received critical views for her raunchy performance where she stroked Robin Thicke's crotch and gyrated(Twerked) in people's faces while performing her hit single "We Can't Stop" .As the lyrics go "We can't stop, We can do what we want to!" I guess Miley Cyrus really thought that, what she wanted to do, would be what others wanted her to do too.

eKasi Stories: Gumede's 50th celebration and the drama unfolded

http://cdn.mg.co.za/crop/content/images/2010/11/04/Gumede30011.jpg/300x300/The multi-business billionaire, Robert Gumede held his 3day birthday PHAATY celebration this past weekend, amongst which he held a free concert in the Nelspruit at the kwaNyamazana Stadium for all his "fans" .

People of the Nelspruit came out in numbers as the 15000 seater stadium was full to the last chair (Well, so says the "Aba'saziwayo"). Mr. Maybach performed along side South African artists such as Chomee, Khuli Chana, AKA, Zahara, Mafikizolo, Dr Malinga and Zakes Bantwini for the mass crowd.

Now iziNdaba just came in that Rick Ross came with amaDiva Tendencies to the hotel where he was staying at where he claims that Arthur Mofakate's 12 year old daughter and friends played a few pranks on him, one being "The Silent Knocker" (knocking at his hotel door, then running away).

This nigga Rozay saw someone eating a drumstick. Nigga started running :D
After a few hours of the Maybach Music Group Founder's arrival, the other claim he stated was that a bag with his jewellery had gone missing. It was then when the IT Mogul Gumede took onto stage and addressed the crowd saying: "Tell this American to come and fetch his bag, it's here. He mustn't piss me off."  Haha woo, soon after Rick Ross came onto stage, after having his "lil bitch" tantrums and performed at the free concert.

His celebration extravaganza attracted guests of the Czech Republic and Benin. Even Ghana's president, John Dramani Mahama sent in his birthday wish video call, reminding Gumede of the Mall he's yet to build "in his country(Ghana)".

With more drama unfolding and having to stop playing music for a while when Chomee decided to surf the crowd and nearly got trampled on, it seems as though the business guru celebrated his birthday in what some would call 'style' .

Thank you for reading.
